Taylor Sawyer
Eating Disorder Program Manager
Taylor attended college at UNR, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services. Before joining the team at Thrive, Taylor worked in low-income and special needs housing with local nonprofit Northern Nevada Community Housing. She also spent some time living in Spain to become certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She entered the behavioral health field in 2021 as a case manager for the Community Triage Center, where people came to seek services for substance detox and crisis stabilization, and then for the Men's CrossRoads program, supporting men in early addiction recovery.
Taylor is passionate about the ways intuitive eating can revolutionize how we trust and nourish our bodies and is thrilled to grow her career in a field that is so meaningful. She is excited about the unique opportunity as the Program Manager to ensure consistency in care and promote best practice at Thrive's Eating Disorder program, where she has been since early 2023, having worked as a Recovery Coach and a Case Manager as well during that time.
In her free time, Taylor can be found facilitating grief support groups as a volunteer for Reno Nonprofit The Solace Tree, reading historical narratives and fictions, and spending time with her pets and friends.
