America Rios-Saldana
LMSW, CSW-Intern
As a therapist intern in the Outpatient program, America Rios Saldana, LMSW, CSW-Intern, strives to support clients on their mental health journeys. She specializes in treating clients navigating general mental health, depression and anxiety-related disorders, body image concerns, and trauma. America is passionate about serving individuals with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), the BiPOC and Latinx communities, college students, and young adults. She uses a person-centered approach and integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)-informed techniques.
America received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her professional background includes working with underserved populations, multicultural communities, integrated behavioral health settings, and nonprofit organizations.
In her spare time, America enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dachshund pup. She can often be found exploring the outdoors, traveling, savoring delicious food, practicing yoga or pilates, or engaging in crafting projects.
